How to launch on LaunchTry in 2026

A great launch is mostly preparation. This guide walks you through the four weeks before launch, the launch day itself, and the two weeks after.

Four weeks before

  • Lock the tagline. One sentence, no jargon, written for the reader, not for you.
  • Build a pre-launch list. The single best predictor of a strong launch is the number of people who already care.
  • Decide your headline metric. Upvotes are nice, but pick one number you actually care about: signups, paid trials, or weekly active.

Two weeks before

  • Choose your launch day. Tuesday and Wednesday are crowded; Monday and Thursday are quieter and often more effective.
  • Tighten the maker note. This is where most makers waste the moment. Do not summarise the product; tell the story behind it.

Launch day

  • 00:00 ET: your product goes live. Sleep, then ship in the morning rested.
  • 9:00 AM ET: respond to direct feedback and support messages. People remember founders who show up.

After the launch

The launch is the start, not the goal. Two weeks of consistent shipping, replying to feedback, and iterating on the most-mentioned pain point will outperform any single launch-day spike.
