Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Decods LLC for your use of LaunchTry. By accessing launchtry.com, creating an account, submitting a product, buying a promotion, using AI prefill, connecting an optional service, or otherwise using LaunchTry, you agree to these Terms.

If you use LaunchTry for a company or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" includes that organization.

2. The Service

LaunchTry is a product discovery and launch platform for makers, startups, SaaS products, software tools, and related launches. Features may include public product pages, categories, search, saved products, upvotes, launch scheduling, paid launch visibility, homepage or newsletter promotions, AI-assisted submission drafting, newsletter subscriptions, account dashboards, and optional connected services.

We may add, remove, pause, limit, redesign, or discontinue features at any time. Some features may be experimental, disabled, invite-only, or available only to certain users.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to use LaunchTry. You must provide accurate account information and keep it current. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your email account, OAuth providers, and devices secure.

LaunchTry supports sign-in by Google, GitHub, and email code/link when configured. We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create risk, impersonate others, or interfere with LaunchTry.

4. Product Submissions

When you submit a product, you represent and warrant that:

• You have the right to submit and publicly display the product, text, logos, screenshots, links, and maker information you provide.
• The product information is accurate, not misleading, and not deceptive.
• The product does not infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
• The product website is live, safe to visit, and reasonably related to the submitted product.
• You will not submit malware, scams, illegal products, spam, adult content, hate content, or products designed to harm users.
• You will not submit the same product multiple times to manipulate discovery, rankings, or launch timing.

LaunchTry may detect duplicates by product name, website, domain, slug, maker, or other signals. If a product already exists, you should use the existing listing, request edits, or contact support about a relaunch.

5. Badge Requirement

LaunchTry may require you to place a LaunchTry badge on the public product website before submission. The badge must be placed on the live product homepage or another visible launch-related section, must not be hidden from users or our verification system, and must not be modified in a way that misrepresents LaunchTry or breaks the badge.

Badge verification may be automated. Passing verification does not guarantee ranking, traffic, acceptance, promotion, or permanent listing.

6. Launch Scheduling

When you choose a launch date, LaunchTry schedules the product for that date based on Eastern Time. LaunchTry's default launch-day refresh is currently set to 00:00 America/New_York. We may change scheduling rules, capacity, timezone behavior, ranking rules, or launch-day mechanics to improve the platform or comply with operational needs.

A submitted product may appear as pending or scheduled before publication. Pending status generally means the product has been received and is waiting for its scheduled launch, payment confirmation if applicable, publication automation, or administrative action. We may remove, reschedule, hide, or correct launches for abuse, legal risk, quality issues, duplicate submissions, security reasons, or technical problems.

7. Paid Launches and Promotions

LaunchTry may offer one-time paid products such as Featured launch, Featured Plus, homepage placement, homepage monthly placement, and newsletter features. Paid options are optional unless clearly stated otherwise at checkout.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices, availability, placement names, package details, and promotion rules may change before purchase. The price shown at checkout controls the purchase. Promotion codes may be offered, limited, changed, or revoked at our discretion unless prohibited by law.

Paid launch and promotion purchases do not guarantee a specific number of views, clicks, signups, customers, revenue, ranking position, search result placement, investor interest, newsletter opens, or other outcomes. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to provide purchased placements, but platform performance and user behavior are not guaranteed.

Unless required by law or expressly stated at purchase, one-time payments are generally non-refundable after checkout is completed. If we cannot provide a purchased placement for reasons within our control, we may offer a refund, credit, reschedule, or comparable placement at our discretion.

8. AI Prefill

AI prefill is optional. When you use it, LaunchTry may fetch public website content and use an AI provider to draft text-based submission fields. AI prefill does not give you rights to any third-party content and does not automatically import product media. You are responsible for uploading only logos, screenshots, and other media that you own or have permission to use.

AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or unsuitable. You are responsible for reviewing and editing all AI-generated content before submitting a product.

You may not use AI prefill to scrape confidential areas, bypass website access controls, generate deceptive claims, infringe rights, or submit content you are not allowed to use.

9. Public Content License

You keep ownership of content you submit. You grant Decods LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable license to host, store, reproduce, display, publish, adapt for formatting, distribute, promote, index, and use your submitted content in connection with LaunchTry, product discovery, search, newsletters, social promotion, archives, SEO pages, and related marketing.

This license lasts for as long as your content is used in connection with LaunchTry, including reasonable archive, backup, legal, and promotional uses. You must have all rights necessary to grant this license.

10. Rankings, Upvotes, Views, and Editorial Control

LaunchTry may display products using ranking, freshness, category, featured status, schedule, upvotes, views, saves, editorial selections, anti-abuse signals, and other factors. We may modify ranking systems, remove suspicious activity, correct counts, prevent duplicate votes, or adjust display rules to protect the integrity of the platform.

You may not buy, sell, automate, coordinate, or fake upvotes, views, saves, accounts, comments, clicks, badge checks, or other engagement. We may remove manipulated activity and take action against accounts or products involved.

11. Optional Connected Services

If LaunchTry offers connected social, auto-posting, workspace, directory, backlink, calendar, or analytics features, you authorize LaunchTry to access the connected service only as needed to provide the feature you choose. You are responsible for complying with the connected provider's terms and for the content you schedule, publish, or monitor.

We may disable connected-service features at any time for reliability, compliance, security, provider policy changes, or product reasons.

12. Newsletter and Communications

By signing in, subscribing, or choosing newsletter-related features, you may consent to receive LaunchTry newsletters and product updates. You can opt out of optional marketing emails. We may still send transactional, security, service, receipt, and account-related messages.

13. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use LaunchTry for illegal, harmful, deceptive, abusive, or fraudulent activity.
• Submit false claims, fake makers, fake logos, misleading screenshots, or products you do not control.
• Attempt to manipulate rankings, upvotes, views, saves, launch schedules, search, or badges.
• Scrape, crawl, or automate access in a way that overloads LaunchTry or violates robots, rate limits, or security controls.
• Reverse engineer, attack, probe, bypass, or interfere with LaunchTry's security, authentication, admin tools, or infrastructure.
• Upload malware, malicious links, tracking pixels that violate law, or content that infringes third-party rights.
• Collect user data from LaunchTry without a lawful basis and proper notice.
• Use LaunchTry to spam, harass, impersonate, defame, or threaten anyone.
• Resell or frame LaunchTry in a way that misleads users about affiliation or endorsement.

14. Intellectual Property

LaunchTry, including its design, software, code, branding, logos, copy, layout, and platform functionality, is owned by Decods LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from LaunchTry except as allowed by these Terms or written permission.

If you send feedback, suggestions, or ideas, you grant us the right to use them without restriction or compensation.

15. Third-Party Services and Links

LaunchTry may link to product websites, Stripe, Google, GitHub, social networks, AI providers, and other third-party services. Third-party services are not controlled by LaunchTry and are governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party websites, products, content, downtime, data practices, or payments outside our control.

16. Copyright and IP Complaints

If you believe content on LaunchTry infringes your rights, contact us at [email protected] with enough information for us to identify the content, your rights, your contact information, and the action you request. We may remove or restrict content and may terminate repeat infringers where appropriate.

17. Account Deletion and Termination

You may delete your account from Settings. Deletion may remove your account and certain associated records, subject to legal, payment, tax, security, backup, anti-fraud, and public-directory integrity needs described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account, products, submissions, promotions, or access to LaunchTry if we believe you violated these Terms, created legal risk, abused the service, threatened platform security, or harmed users or LaunchTry.

18. Disclaimers

LaunchTry is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and uninterrupted operation.

We do not guarantee launch results, product success, traffic, revenue, rankings, search indexing, newsletter performance, uptime, data availability, or that any product will be accepted, published, promoted, or remain listed.

19. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Decods LLC and its officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost goodwill, business interruption, or platform outcomes, whether based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other legal theory.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to LaunchTry will not exceed the greater of USD $100 or the amount you paid LaunchTry for the service giving rise to the claim in the 3 months before the event.

20. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Decods LLCand its officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and agents from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your content, your products, your use of LaunchTry, your connected services, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, or your infringement of third-party rights.

21. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users. Your continued use of LaunchTry after updated Terms are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

22. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory law gives you rights that cannot be waived by contract.
