Copyright and IP Policy

1. Purpose

LaunchTry is a product discovery platform operated by Decods LLC. Product listings may include user-submitted content, maker-submitted media, public links, and curated factual information about products. This policy explains how to report copyright, trademark, publicity, ownership, or listing-rights issues.

2. Submitter Responsibility

Anyone submitting a product must have the right to submit and publicly display the product name, website URL, description, logo, screenshots, maker information, social links, and related launch content. Do not upload content that you do not own or do not have permission to use.

3. Curated and Unclaimed Listings

LaunchTry may create curated listings from public product information for discovery, categorization, and comparison. Curated listings are unofficial unless clearly marked as claimed or submitted by the maker. Third-party company names and marks are used only to identify the products being listed. LaunchTry does not imply sponsorship, partnership, or endorsement by listed companies unless expressly stated.

If you own or represent a product shown on LaunchTry, you can ask us to claim, correct, update, hide, or remove the listing.

For unclaimed curated listings, LaunchTry may use a neutral initial-based fallback instead of a third-party logo until the product owner submits, claims, or verifies the listing. This reduces brand confusion and avoids implying affiliation, sponsorship, or permission.

4. How to Report Copyright Infringement

Send copyright reports to [email protected]. Include enough information for us to investigate and act quickly:

• Your full name, company if applicable, email address, mailing address, and telephone number.
• Identification of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed.
• The LaunchTry URL where the allegedly infringing material appears.
• A description of the material you want removed or disabled.
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement that the information in your notice is accurate.
• A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

5. Trademark, Logo, and Brand Reports

For trademark or logo concerns, send the LaunchTry URL, the mark at issue, your relationship to the mark owner, the action requested, and why the listing may cause confusion or misuse your brand. We may remove logos, replace them with initials, add a disclaimer, update copy, transfer control to the verified owner, or remove the listing.

6. Counter-Notices and Disputes

If your content was removed and you believe removal was a mistake, contact us with the LaunchTry URL, your account email, what was removed, why you believe you have rights to use it, and any supporting documentation. We may request additional verification before restoring content.

7. Repeat Infringers and Abuse

LaunchTry may suspend or terminate accounts, products, submissions, uploads, promotions, or access for repeat infringement, repeated false submissions, brand impersonation, deceptive ownership claims, or abuse of the notice process.

8. Claiming a Product

Product owners can claim an unclaimed listing automatically from the product page by adding and verifying the LaunchTry badge on the live product homepage. If badge verification is not possible, use the report form above and include enough information for us to evaluate the ownership issue.

9. Response Process

We try to review complete reports promptly. Depending on the report, we may remove or disable content, replace media with a fallback, add attribution or disclaimers, ask the submitter for proof of rights, transfer a listing to a verified owner, preserve records, or reject incomplete or abusive requests.
